Societe Generale launched, on Monday, August 8, 2022, a repurchase program for ordinary shares of Societe Generale with a view to canceling them for a maximum amount of 914.1 million euros. It will run at the end of the year.

Société Générale has received all the necessary authorizations from the supervisory authorities for these repurchases, which will be carried out in accordance with the conditions, in particular the maximum price, provided for by the General Meeting of May 17, 2022, as well as in accordance with the Market Abuse Regulation. They will take place on trading venues where Société Générale shares have been admitted to trading or are traded, including the regulated market of Euronext Paris.

The liquidity contract signed with Rothschild is also temporarily suspended throughout the repurchase period.
