San Francisco welcomes Outside Lands festival-goers with a mini heatwave.

Although barely there in the 70s, the festival grounds were steamy on the first day, attracting great enthusiasm by locals such as Spelling and Ode at the start of the day. Friday is always the least-crowded day of the weekend, and as such entry was relatively smooth at the start of the day (lots of vendors sold clear bags outside the festivities, which were forgotten).

But like almost all concerts in 2022, the genre was as much on display as the music itself. The early crowd skewed the college-aged group, and were clearly prepared for the expected high temperature of 69 degrees. No specific trends as to fun cow print were exceedingly clear, and without halloween weekend The time for the 2021 festival costumes was few and far between.
