Tyler Smith snatched the highlight of the day; dallas back in the pad

Oxnard, California — Outside Wide receiver James Washington injured his leg And fearing for safety Jeroen Keirs with a hyperextended knee to which he eventually returned, the highlight of the day was the first-round pick, guard Tyler Smith.

During a run play, Smith closed with a defensive tackle Tristan Hill and slammed him to the ground as a running back jumped outside.

McCarthy said he wanted to see how the rookie looked to be wearing the pads for the first time, and Smith did not disappoint in team practice.

“There’s much more involved than just setting up the drills and doing this drill and that drill,” McCarthy said. “It’s really getting the reps right. Who’s going against whom? And just trying to make those situations because our assessment is only as good as that of the day. That’s the focus and it’s clearly The padded has grown in work.”

Defensive end added DeMarcus Lawrence: “Everyone came out with sea legs and got feet back under us and you know running and blocking as a team and it felt great today.”

In short: Rookie RB Aaron Champlin missed practice due to illness. … Dee Tak McKinley, who visited the Cowboys on Saturday, is scheduled to visit Arizona on Tuesday.
