Undertaker status before SummerSlam 2022

WWE Hall of Famer Undertaker Once famous for the undefeated WrestleMania streak. However, Legend remains one of the best performers in the history of SummerSlam, WWE’s second biggest premium live event of the year.

The Phenom last competed at SummerSlam in 2015 when he defeated his arch-rival Brock Lesnar, The latter was responsible for ending his WrestleMania streak. While The Undertaker is now retired and officially in the WWE Hall of Fame, he teased during his induction speech that a return cannot be ruled out entirely.

Before tonight’s WWE SummerSlam 2022, Mike Johnson pwinsider Commented on The Undertaker’s chances of appearing on the show. He said that The Phenom is in Nashville, the venue for SummerSlam, so an appearance is possible:

“Well, he’s in Nashville, so anything can happen but it’s not something that has made the rounds,” Mike Johnson told Polygon.


The Undertaker’s “1st Deadman Show” in Nashville before SummerSlam

As part of SummerSlam weekend, WWE announced the Phenom’s show in Nashville, the “1st Deadman Show”. The show happened last night and pwinsider Provided some notes on what happened in it.

The Hall of Famer met and greeted his fans and signed the photographs. However, fans were asked to lock their phones before the show to avoid leaking of any footage on the internet. The report said that his wife Michelle McCool was there with their daughters and so was Michael Hayes.

Another superstar who joined the show was the former United States Champion Damien Priest, The Judgment Day member also posted the story of the crowd attending the show on his Instagram. The show is reportedly being filmed by WWE so fans can see the footage being used in the future.

As far as format, the show was said to be part story, part comedy and part TED talk, similar to his Hall of Fame induction speech earlier this year. The Phenom told many interesting and never-before-heard stories to the fans present.
